How To Install the Pharos Print Drivers

Instructions for Windows devices, Mac OS devices, and Chromebooks

The Pharos Print drivers only work on devices connected to the BYU campus network. If you are trying to submit a print job from home, please use the My Print Center client or the Pharos app.

Windows:

  1. Go to this link here
  2. Click on the first "Windows" link and accept the download
  3. Go to your downloads folder and double-click on the file to open it
  4. Select "Yes"
  5. Select "Install"
  6. The drivers will install
  7. Select "Finish"

MacOS:

The Pharos print drivers are not compatible with macOS versions 15 and newer. Please use the Web Print Client on these newer systems.

  1. Go to this link here
  2. Click on the first "MacOS - Intel" link and accept the download
  3. Go to your Downloads folder and double-click on the file to open it
  4. Double-click on "Popup.pkg" to open the installer
  5. Click "Continue"
  6. Click "Continue"
  7. Click "Install" and enter your password to authorize the download
  8. Close the installer

ChromeOS and Linux:

Go to MyPrintCenter, sign in using your BYU Netid and password, and upload your file to print at any Kiosk Print station.

(Pharos does not support print drivers for ChromeOS)

Some ChromeOS devices might be compatible with the Pharos Print app, available through the Google Play Store.
